December is usually a month that I slow down, taking only 2-3 sessions to catch up on orders before the holidays.
This year I was so blessed to have two amazing mini sessions here in our awesome new studio. A precious little 1 year old girl and a mother-daughter duo that wanted photos together for a family friend. Both wanted just a few images for specific needs, and both walked away with fantastic lasting memories.
Here are just a couple of the images from these two amazing Mini Sessions....

This photo session is so special to me. You see this beautiful momma is a dear friend of mine, and I miss her greatly since our move. I was there when her youngest two were born, and have been photographing their sweet family for years. It was so wonderful to see them all again, and get to photograph them one last time.
Please enjoy just a few of my favorites from this very special family session below.

I absolutely love this family. They are so down to earth and easy going, and they have the best sense of humor. It is always such a pleasure to photograph them. In fact, just one year ago I was capturing this little man's entrance into the world, and now I get to photograph his first birthday! I feel so blessed to have them as clients, but more so to call them friends.

My amazing midwife and friend, Miss Kim, booked this session just before our move. She had purchased a session MONTHS prior for her moms for their wedding, but finally...just before we moved...they booked a fantastic outdoor session.
These two beautiful ladies have been together for years. Yet they have never had portraits done together. This year they finally had the opportunity to show their love to the world, by getting married...yet still didn't get photos done. Needless to say Miss Kim wanted photos of her moms! She is so proud of them. The way she talked about them, you could see how much she loves them. So, it made me very excited to meet them and to capture some special moments.
Miss Terry and Miss Vicki were so happy when we met at the park that day. Nervous, but happy. You could see how much they loved each other in their interactions. How they held hands, and hugged. How they talked and looked at each other. It was beautiful, and I know we captured that in their photos.

I absolutely love outdoor photo sessions. Especially when they are for a wonderful family...and for the holiday season. I have been photographing this lovely family for over a year now, and each session is so special. Their sweet little girl is a joy to photograph, and you can always feel so much love between them. Hopefully you too can see their love in the photographs I have captured below.
When your best friend, that you have known your WHOLE life, calls you up and says "We NEED to have family photos done by a professional...feel up for it?" Yet the weather is forecasted at 14-28 degrees with possible snow and ice. What do you do....
Oh you say "HECK YES!"
It was seriously 26-ish degrees outside with light snow flurries off and on the day we set it all up, but it didn't matter. It was Thanksgiving, and my beautiful friend and her family had had a hard year full of cancer treatments, hospital visits, and lots of prayer. Her uncle that had raised her and her brother were fighting battles, and this was the best time to get photos done. To celebrate family.
Despite the cold, everyone threw off their coats and gloves to strike a pose for the camera. Huge smiles on their faces. Cold fingers and toes, but warm hearts all around.
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all our blessings, and the Fletcher family has so much to be thankful for. They have an amazing family full of love. What more could anyone want in life?

This was my last session for 2014! A fantastic mini session for a family that I have been photographing for almost 8 years!!! Can you believe it?! This time, it was just a mini session for their two youngest children. That adorable little man was born just a couple weeks before our own little dude, so it was great to get together again and meet their newest family member.
Here are just a few of my favorite images from this great little mini session.
